Dear families
in Australia!!
Christian is in second grade in the high school. Patrick runs in 7th grade, and Celine and Taina runs in the 5th grade. Gabriel goes in 3rd grade. In Sandvika (Oslo) lives Ariel and Hosna, with their children Leila, Ava and Darius. Leila goes in first class, while Ava is in the kindergarten, and Darius is at home with his mother. In March we traveled again to South America. Was first a few days in Paraguay, for review of the school-project amongs the indians there (see www.pymisjon.com). Then we went to Santa
Cruz
in Bolivia for review of another school-project there.
Together
with us was
Eva from the mission office in
Oslo (PYM), see HERE. Afterwards we went to Riberalta in the Northern
Bolivia. We have long wanted to go there,
since it
was in that area Norwegian missionary-work began in Bolivia. We had a Norwegian
contact there, Ada
Bjørfjell. It was interesting to visit this little jungle town by the Beni
river (part
of the Amazonas). It is a world quite
different
from ours. You can see some pictures HERE. In July we went to northern Norway. Elisabeth and Celine came by plane to Bodø, and together we went to Hustad in Gildeskål (the foto) to visit our family there. We visted Kjærringøy too...a very nice place. Then came Rosi, Ruben
and
their children
up, and together
we
went first to Tranøy, Hamarøy, where we met
some of the family. Elisabeth and Celine
flew
home, while the rest of us drow south to Lofoten.
We
had a very good weather on the trip through
Lofoten to Moskenes and Værøy, (Rudolf had his childhood there) so it was a real nature experience.
The mountains
and the sea are mighty...
and then our great friends
there!! In September we had a great visit from Australia: Elsa! It was very pleasant stay with her in the home of Janny!! We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year !! «Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord». Luke 2, 11
